Suppose you start a small business. You are selling your products on various social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The problem, however, is that it takes a long time to protect individual platforms. You have to take orders from every platform, and you have to manage payments manually – this is time consuming and prone to human error.

To solve it, you may be thinking of creating your own e-commerce website. But this will take a lot of sums out of your pocket. Is there another option?

The answer to that question is yes, and where does Cococart come from?

This startup allows small and medium businesses to build their websites on the go – in just a few clicks, in just a few minutes. You can use the website to receive and process orders from different platforms.

Coconut has recently entered the Bangladeshi market. However, this startup is based in Silicon Valley and is one of the largest VC companies in Silicon Valley, backed by state-of-the-art innovation and financial support from Y Combinator.

Tanvirul Islam Depot, Coca-Cola Country Manager in Bangladesh, oversees the development and activities in the country. In an interview with Business Standard, he described how he got started in Bangladesh.

A little background

Dipto, who dropped out of elementary school and started achieving his entrepreneurial goals, was building a similar product to InstaChef last year. His original concepts are comparable to those of Cochrane.

However, for a number of reasons, his motivation did not bear fruit at the time. Prior to that, he was part of the Patoo and Claudio Primary Development Team.

Earlier this year, he quickly learned about cocaine through a mutual friend. It aroused his curiosity. “Cochrane had the same idea but they did it more than I could,” Dipto added.

“Most of these features are completely free and take zero percent commission.”

Through a network effort, he wrote an email to the co-founders of Cococart and soon received a response. He called for a common interest in bringing e-commerce to the masses.

Coca-Cola is aware of the country’s rich economy and is eager to expand into Bangladesh. They gave him the opportunity to lead the expansion in Bangladesh.

Coca-Cola, first launched in Singapore in It is September 2020. Although Coca-Cola had its first customers in Bangladesh long before it began, it began focusing on Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in April this year.

Encouraging local businesses

“Good business solves real and painful problems,” Dipto said. “Here, the problem is that traditional forums or agencies are too complex and expensive for small businesses and non-tech entrepreneurs because there is no easy way to build your online store.”

“We have a solution for that.” We have created a very simple system for small enterprises to sell their products online. Using the Coca-Cola platform, anyone can set up an online e-commerce store in just a few minutes. With Cococart they make the whole process much easier. Our platform is specifically designed for e-commerce.

So, if you have something to sell online – from food to clothing to digital content to anything – you can use Cococard automation.

Of course, customers can order quickly and easily using a basic but attractive digital store. All administrative tasks, such as automatic receipts and payments, will be done by Cochrane.

There is a dashboard that monitors and organizes all your orders instead of pairing your email. Cococard also accepts credit cards and various payment methods, including Bacchanalian, Nagad and Rocket. You can use the Calendar tool to take pre-orders and block missed dates.

Surprisingly, most of these features are completely free and cost zero percent commission. You can sign up for more powerful features like custom domain, analytics and promotional codes to help your sales grow and grow your business.

Coca-Cola will save you a lot of time by looking for an efficient way to help your small business or large company try to connect with your customers.

“It can seem very difficult to take your business online. It can be difficult to choose the right one because there are so many e-commerce platforms to choose from, especially with hidden fees and complex configurations, it can take weeks or months before your store goes live,” he said.

“Coca-Cola is designed to take local businesses online quickly and effortlessly. Unlike other e-commerce platforms, which requires a lot of customization and back-end work, Cococard facilitates the process to start selling in just a few clicks.”

Supported by Y Combinator

Supporting Y Combinator was a big milestone for Cochrane. Y Combinator is a startup that helps beginners like Airbnb, Dropbox, etc.

“We are delighted to have the support of such an incredible investor to achieve our mission of encouraging local businesses around the world,” Dipto said.

Since its inception, Coca-Cola has supported more than 10,000 businesses in more than 75 countries. Coca-Cola has an international, divided group of more than 10 people based in the United States, Singapore, Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Nigeria, Dubai and India.

The team includes executives and engineers who have previously worked for Google, Dropbox, Figma, HP and Blackmagic Design.

And according to Dipto, they are a company interested in transforming local businesses and creating new ways to sell online.

“With our very simple e-commerce platform and the growing business community, Coca-Cola is the easiest way for people to start their own business,” Dipto said.

“Our immediate plan is to expand rapidly in unfinished markets, especially in Bangladesh,” says Dipto. “Our Bangladeshi consumers and traders are enjoying an incredibly simple coconut experience. Coca-Cola has encouraged hundreds of small businesses over the past few months. We believe Bangladesh will be an e-commerce force in the next few years. We are constantly working to support it.
