NASDAQ: ERIC is today launching its Intelligent Automation Platform, a service management and orchestra product that enables smart automation of any mobile network.

Building on existing offerings, including the Cloud native dual-mode 5G Core and Cloud RAN portfolio, the company is adding Erickson Intelligence Automation Platform and rApps suite as a natural next step in building future networks.

The solution facilitates AI and automation to improve network performance, operational efficiency and customer experience to help create smart networks.

The cloud-native solution works on both new and existing 4G and 5G radio access networks (RANs) and supports a variety of providers and RAN technologies, including purpose-built and open RAN.

This creates a huge choice for network service providers (CSPs) when upgrading their networks. Erickson’s investment in this platform reflects the company’s contribution to the Open RAN technologies industry development.

The Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform automates the radio access network using a variety of AI and radio network applications (rApps). Similarly, the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform rApps is a real-time RAN intelligent controller that works with automated operations, inputs and detection of improvements to the network.

The platform supports eco-innovation by allowing software developers to build products through the software-development console (SDK). Field-proven Erickson rApps suite will be available on stage in four domains Reactive automated deployment; Network healing; Network evolution; And network optimization. The department will continue to grow in partnership with customers.

Jan Karlsson, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Environment Digital Services, Erickson, said: “We are embracing the principle of openness and evolution to open network architecture. We look forward to providing our customers with an open platform that enhances operational efficiency, enhances customer experience, and encourages service innovation.

Neil McCrey, MD Architecture and Strategy, BT Team Architect, says: As we expand and modernize more secure networks across multiple locations, automating network complexity is critical to ensuring the best possible customer experience. I am pleased to see that Ericsson is launching an intelligent automation platform to automate networks based on the O-RAN Alliance Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) concept. Erickson’s SMO concept is an innovative approach using a single operation of glass to support both open RAN and existing 4G and 5G networks.

Toshikazu Yokai, CEO, Director General of Mobile Technology, KDDI SMO, along with the open software-development suite (SDK), has the ability to drive innovation and diversity, drive network performance, improve operational efficiency and drive advanced customer experiences, CSP, telecommunications providers and third-party software providers. . KDDI SMO and non-real-time RAN Intelligence Supervisor (non-RIC) are expected to fine-tune RAN behavior and ensure SLAs are flexible based on specific service requirements. KDDI looks forward to collaborating with Ericsson to explore the potential of these solutions.

Sue Rudd, Director of Networks and Service Platforms, Strategy Analytics, Director: “Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform brings scalability, performance and ease of operation to mobile network environments, including purpose-built and open RAN. Extreme network disconnection, with active participation in the O-RAN Alliance and automated management of ONAP Network, has enabled this powerful platform to help its customers maximize their ROI by effectively delivering high quality services to their core customers. Operation Automated Verified Record makes it a great partner for rApps developers and system integrators who can use this unique tool kit and development environment.
